Carbon footprint another 1,332 t lighter

TFG Transfracht has granted the BMW group a climate assessment certificate for the sustainability and CO2 management of its inbound and outbound transport logistics.

TFG has awarded the TÜV-monitored certificate to show that the German car manufacturer only uses electricity from renewable sources so that its rail transports are 100% CO2 free.

Compared to standard rail haulage services, an additional 1,332 t of CO2 could be saved on BMW transport services on the Dingolfing, Wackersdorf and Wallersdorf routes between 1 October and 31 December 2016. Road haulage services would have emitted a total of 8,205 t of CO2. (ben)
