Franco-Swiss freight railways set to collaborate
The Swiss and German competition authorities have given the go-ahead for BLS’s sale of a 45% stake in BLS Cargo (Switzerland) to SNCF Logistics (France). The two partners’ official collaboration is officially starting at the beginning of July.
From that month, the BLS Cargo shares will be owned by the Swiss railway BLS (52%), SNCF Logistics (45%) and the Ambrogio Group (3%). The cooperation is intended to further enhance and expand railfreight transport on the north-south corridor. (ben)
