New leader for New Brunswick-based transport firm
Bill Doherty has been appointed president and CEO of Day & Ross, a Canadian transport company based in Hartland, New Brunswick. Doherty joined Day & Ross in October 2016 as part of a leadership transition plan. He succeeds John Doucet who is retiring today (30 June 2017).
In addition to his 25-year career with Fedex where he started his career in 1984, Doherty held executive-level roles with Greatwide Logistics Services, Omniflight Helicopters, New Breed Logistics, Warehouse86 Ventures and Transervice Logistics.
Reporting to Dirk Van de Put, president and CEO of McCain Foods, Doherty will lead the four divisions of The Day & Ross Transportation Group: Day & Ross Freight, Day & Ross Dedicated Logistics, Day & Ross Supply Chain and Trade Networks, and Sameday Worldwide. (ah)
