New rail service between Belgium, Luxemburg and France
The Luxembourgian company CFL multimodal, in partnership with Transports Vigneron, has launched a new rail service linking the Britanniadock in Zeebrugge (Belgium) to the Champigneulles terminal in Nancy (France), with a stopover at the Bettembourg-Dudelange intermodal terminal in Luxembourg. This enables connections to Lyon (France), Le Boulou (France) and Trieste (Italy).
The service initially offers three round trips a week. An increase to five round trips a week is planned by the end of this year. The trains are open for semi-trailers, swap bodies and 20’ to 45’ containers. Transit times between the Zeebrugge and Nancy terminals come to 24 hours. (ben)
