Port of Guadeloupe banking on next generation
The port of Guadeloupe and the regional school authorities have launched an artistic competition for youngsters who are concerned about protecting the marine environment and shorelines of the French island in the Caribbean Sea.
The "Cáyoli Junior" project, which was officially presented on World Oceans Day on 8 June, is connected to the port authorities’ 15 year expansion and operation plan that was launched in 2016. The scheme includes activities to protect the biodiversity of the local Cáyoli conservation area. (ah)
