Return to Congo

Miami-based P2F services provider Aeronautical Engineers has redelivered an AEI B737-800SF to Serve Air, the first carrier to operate this kind of freighter in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

It is the second AEI B737-800SF to join Serve Air’s fleet, in addition to the B727Fs, B737-300Fs, and the carrier is expected to add another four B737-800SFs in the coming years.

The AEI converted B737-800SF offers a main deck payload of up to 23,9 t and incorporates eleven full height 88” x 125” container positions, plus an additional position for an AEP/AEH.

The conversion, performed by the authorised AEI Conversion Centre, Commercial Jet in Dothan, AL, also incorporates new floor beams aft of the wing box, a large 86” x 137” main cargo door with a single vent door system. (ah)
