455 measures to improve rail network
The association of German transport companies (VDV) has published a list of problematic areas in Germany’s rail network and what solutions are available to remedy matters. To compile the list VDV asked rail transport companies and others entities about the measures needed to improve the country’s rail network.
The list contains 455 single propositions from 73 companies. The list shows where action is urgently needed and the financing requirements for further expanding the rail network. An additional EUR 50 million to EUR 100 million per year will be needed to implement many of the listed measures. (ben)
