Breaking ground for new sorting centre
Last Tuesday (16 May), Croatian Post held a ground-breaking ceremony for a new, 70,200 sqm sorting centre in Velika Gorica, a city close to Zagreb Franjo Tuđman international airport. The estimated cost of the entire centre is EUR 46 million, and it will take 18 months to build.
Some EUR 21 million will be spent on the first phase - the construction of a 32,000 sqm sorting centre. It will include, inter alia, sorting facilities, a high-rack warehouse, a transformer station, a data centre and part of the administrative building. Croatian Post will use the new sorting centre to improve the quality of all its postal services. (rf)
