Canada's e-manifest transition period ends

With effect from 7 November 2016, Canada’s border service agency (CBSA) required freight fowarders responsible for consolidated imports to transmit advance house bill data electronically for in-bond and in-transit shipments.

To assist with the new requirement, the CBSA allowed a transition period up to 10 January 2017. During that time, the CBSA worked with Air Canada Cargo to ensure the receipt of e-manifest deconsolidation notice messages.

As from 11 January, any entity not registered for e-manifest should contact CBSA at the address below.    (ah)
