Direct intermodal link from GB to North Europe
Forwarders now have the possibility to transport craneable trailers both economically and directly between Sweden, Denmark, Finland and England, with immediate effect.
Ferries that call the ports of Rostock (Germany) and Rotterdam (Netherlands) are connected to Kombiverkehr’s train services that run via the Duss gateway terminal at the Duisburg-Ruhrort inland port. The new offer was created by a collaboration between Rostock Port, duisport agency, the shipping companies Finnlines, Scandlines and Stena Line, as well as the intermodal service provider Kombiverkehr as operator.
Some connections are routes between England and northern Europe are served up to seven times per week. (ben)
