From airfreight to rail passenger transport
The US intercity passenger rail service provider and high-speed rail operator, Amtrak, has named Richard Anderson, a 25-year veteran of the aviation industry, as its next president and CEO. Anderson, a former chief executive officer of both Delta and Northwest Airlines, will begin his role on 12 July 2017.
"It is an honour to join Amtrak at a time when passenger rail service is growing in importance in America," Anderson said. (ah)
