Tiaca to support Indonesia's air cargo industry
The International Air Cargo Association (Tiaca) will work with the Indonesian National Air Carriers Association (Inaca) and other freight companies in the country to support the region’s growing airfreight industry.
The news was announced by (from left to right) Maria Kristi Endah Murni, director of air transport, DGCA, ministry of air transportation; Budi Karya Sumadi, minister of transportation; Pahala Nugraha Mansury, chairman Inaca, president and CEO Garuda; Boyke Soebroto, chairman of cargo flights Inaca, and president and CEO of Cardig Air; and Vladimir Zubkov, Tiaca secretary general.
Thanks to increased consumer demand for imported goods, Indonesia saw its airfreight sector grow by around 3.5% in 2016, compared to 1.75% in 2015. (ah)
