Today: launch of new Oslo-Tel Aviv cargo route
Today (16 May 2017) sees the start of a new cargo route from Avinor Oslo airport to Tel Aviv (Israel). The weekly Boeing B747-400F flight, operated by CAL Cargo Airlines, marks another step in the substantial growth of CAL's global network and the Norwegian capital’s airport. From now on, the airline will fly a fresh shipment of Norwegian seafood directly to Tel Aviv
“This is delightful news for Norway and Oslo Airport. Israel is one of the greatest destinations for air-freighted seafood from Norway, and Tel Aviv will be the tenth largest airport for airfreight from Oslo airport,” observed Martin Langaas, Avinor’s cargo director.
Offer Gilboa, CAL's chairman added: "We are confident that the new route will strengthen the existing relationship with the local fish market."
