A train to link Swedish ports

The Swedish railway company Green Cargo is launching a new intermodal service within Sweden. The train connects Gothenburg with the port of Norrköping in Ostgotland and will run daily from Monday to Friday from May, transporting trailers, swap bodies and containers.

There is a great need for combined transport services on the route, as large quantities of goods are currently carried by road. The new rail solution offers a sustainable alternative to truck transport, simplifies the logistics process and helps to save time and money, Green Cargo said. It will operate the intermodal service in partnership DB Cargo FLS Nordic. (ben)
