Freight One orders 15,000 wagons 08. March 2010

Freight One, a subsidiary of Russian Railways (RZD), has announced plans to purchase at least 15,000 wagons this year. Freight One already purchased 8,000 wagons in 2009, almost half the total Russian output last year, and the firm currently owns more than 200,000 units of rolling stock of various types. Freight One has signed contracts with Ruzkhimmash to supply 1,800 tank railcars and the same number of open wagons. "This new contract with Ruzkhimmash is a continuation of the mutually beneficial cooperation that was established in the years 2008 and 2009", said Freight One's director general Salman Babayev.
