AAT announces 35% increase in February cargo 08. March 2010

Although Chinese New Year is usually a slower month, Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT), a cargo terminal operator based at Hong Kong international airport, announced that it handled 42,145 t of freight in February this year, a plus of 40% compared to the same month last year. Cumulative export tonnage from January to February 2010 was 60,288 t, representing a 46% year-on-year growth. Total import volumes for first two months increased to 29,326 t, up 19% compared to the same time frame in 2009. The transhipment cargo volume since the beginning of the year was 568 t, a 22% increase, against 2008.
