Quehenberger an independent operator again 08. Februar 2010

Having taken over the Augustin Network group, Christian Fürstaller, Rodolphe Schoettel and Rudi Quehenberger are now also taking over the core business of the Salzburg-based former logistics enterprise Quehenberger Logistics. The Grevenmacher-based Luxembourgian firm Logwin, which is the process of rationalising its services, has sold its Eastern Europe road and rail division and the Austrian network. The acquisition has to be approved by the cartel authorities concerned. The Logwin enterprises will be renamed Quehenberger with immediate effect. The two companies are expected to generate sales of EUR 360 million in 2010. Augustin will contribute around EUR 138 million, and Quehenberger EUR 222 million. The new group will have 2,100 employees. Quehenberger currently has 1,100 people on its payroll.
