Logistics service provider Agility is set to launch a new domestic shipping service in August in Australia, running between Melbourne in the state of Victoria and Bell Bay, in Tasmania. The service will be operated by Agility Shipping, a joint venture between Agility Logistics and Transworld Marine Express. The Australian joint venture will offer a thrice-weekly service with Australian-flagged and crewed vessels. The "Tassie Bridge", a 516 teu multipurpose self-geared container ship, will be the first vessel deployed.
