ABP to develop logistics site in North England

Associated British Ports (ABP) has applied to build 100,000 sqft of industrial and logistics space at a site it calls Helm @ Immingham, in northern England.

The move represents the first step towards developing the 227 acre area near the A180 motorway and the Humber ports of Grimsby and Immingham (England).

The project, with unit sizes ranging from 5,000 to 27,000 sqft and 10 m clear internal height, targets small and medium-sized enterprises in logistics, manufacturing and energy. The site offers potential for an additional 1.1 million sqft of space, plus 90 acres of automotive storage, backed by renewable energy infrastructure.

ABP sees the scheme as a step towards strengthening UK trade, supporting the energy transition and promoting regional growth. The project is a part of the ‘South Humber Industrial Investment Programme’ and reflects a commitment to low-carbon development.
