AEI to convert for Pacific carrier

Aeronautical Engineers (AEI) from Miami (FL, USA) has entered an agreement to provide Nauru Airlines with a 10-pallet position B737-300SF freighter conversion.

The flag carrier airline of the Republic of Nauru which has its operational basis in Brisbane, Australia, will use the maindeck capacity (maximum payload: 19.5 t) to transport fresh food, mail, medicines and other freight from various points in the Pacific. The freighter will also be used to support charter flights in the region.

With already one B737-300 freighter aircraft in its B737-only fleet, Nauru Airlines is celebrating its golden jubilee this year with 50 years of continuous operation. Modifications to the aircraft are scheduled to begin at Commercial Jet’s Miami facility in late May. (ah)
