Alsaceterminal now in charge

The time is up. In January, Frenkendorf-based Swissterminal announced that it will take over operations of the three French inland ports Ottmarsheim, Huningue-Village-Neuf and Ile Napoléon in the Alsace region.

Effective 1 July 2021, these French ports will now be operated through Alsaceterminal, a 100% subsidiary of Swissterminal.

As part of its strategy, Swissterminal appointed Jürg Wiggli, deputy CEO, to head terminal operations in Switzerland. Romain Stemmelen joins the executive board as CTO, and Lionel Husser has taken over the management of the activities in France as COO ports & terminals France and managing director of Alsaceterminal.

Finally, as COO business & warehousing solutions, Andreas Jeppesen will oversee warehousing and corporate services at all locations.

DP World has held a 44% stake in Swissterminal since January 2020. (cd)
