APL rolling out new service
The CMA CGM affiliate APL is set to launch a new weekly sailing - the China Malaysia Service (CMS connecting north, central and southern China to the niche ports of Port Kelang, Penang and Pasir Gudang in Malaysia. Jointly developed with its vessel sharing partners, CMS will provide additional transport capacity between China and Malaysia.
Catering to long haul cargoes, shippers can expect relay connectivity to and from Penang and Pasir Gudang via Port Kelang where the CMS calls once per week.
CMS will start its first rotation in Qingdao on 23 February. The ports of call are Qingdao, Shanghai, Xiamen, Nansha, Port Kelang, Penang, Port Kelang, Pasir Gudang, Shekou and Hong Kong. (kd)
