APM and Conductix-Wampfler extend collaboration

APM Terminals and Conductix-Wampfler formalised their partnership with a third agreement on 28 October 2025, for the supply of electrification products and services for rubber tyre gantry cranes (RTGs). Signed at Conductix-Wampfler's Shanghai head office, the deal builds on 14 years of collaboration, during which Conductix-Wampfler provided 413 energy systems for electric RTGs and 116 battery systems, supporting port decarbonisation efforts.

APM Terminals aims to reach net-zero greenhouse gases by 2040, primarily through converting fossil-fuel equipment to battery-electric and fully electric cranes, alongside investments in renewable energy like solar power. The new framework reflects their commitment to reducing emissions and advancing sustainable port operations, with both companies expressing confidence in further collaboration to achieve industry-wide decarbonisation.
