Besiktas suspends shipping operations
In light of recent developments impacting regional maritime security, Besiktas Shipping is updating its operational stance. The company has decided to cease all shipping operations involving Russian interests, effective immediately. Consequently, it will no longer undertake any Russia-related voyages.
The shipping company has consistently adhered to international sanctions and maintained full compliance with the G7/EU price cap mechanism and other relevant trade restrictions. Operating transparently and legally within the global regulatory framework has always been its priority. However, the escalating security situation has prompted a thorough assessment, leading the company to conclude that the risks to its vessels and crew are now untenable. As the safety of its personnel and assets remains its highest priority, it is halting all operations connected to Russian interests.
