"Black Friday" for AN-12
Last Friday (9 August) two Antonov 12 freighters suffered irreparable damage. The first incident occurred when a military transport aircraft belonging to the Ethiopian army crash landed at Mogadishu airport (Somalia), killing four crew members and injuring two others. No people suffered in a fire on a Ukraine Air Alliance cargo aircraft at Leipzig-Halle airport (Germany), but the 50,000 chicks on board were affected.
