Bremenports extends lobbying activities

The ports of Bremen are intensifying their lobbying activities in the west and south of Germany. The port management company bremenports has signed contracts with Hartwig Weidt and Christoph Kernen to promote Bremen’s interests in these destinations. Other representatives are already advertising the ports’ services in Vienna (Austria) and Prague (Czechia).

In future, the new representatives will aim to open up markets for bremenports in North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Wuerttemberg. Weidt will be in charge of lobbying activities in the west of Germany. Weidt: “The ports of Bremen have an attractive service portfolio for the economy of this most populous of all federal states in Germany. It is an important task to remind businesses of the opportunities the ports can offer.”

Kernen will be canvassing for business in the south-west. He says: “Bremerhaven plays a key role in Baden-Wuerttemberg’s automotive transport sector. Bremen is also an attractive location for container traffic. However, there is still a significant potential for expansion, particularly in the east of our federal state.” (mw)
