Bremenports reinforces relationship with Czechia

Bremenports has opened a new representative office in Prague in order to further expand its market position in Czechia. The German port operator and the German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce have officially presented the corresponding agreement in Bremen.

Bremen’s senator for the economy, Martin Günthner, declared: "We decided to increase our presence in important hinterland regions alongside last year’s reorganisation of the port marketing activities. In addition to Austria, Czechia is an important market for containers and automobiles."

At present there are three direct container train connections to Czechia; the rail terminal in Prague is the most important facility for container traffic to/from the hinterland after Regensburg (Germany). (mw)
