Cargo premieres in Beijing and Florianópolis

Beijing Daxing (PKX), the Chinese capital’s new major airport which was inaugurated exactly nine months ago on 25 September 2019, recently welcomed its first aircraft with maindeck capacity. The B757-200F of SF airlines, which has been flying a regular service to Beijing Capital (PEK) since 2011, landed with a full load on 11 June, coming from Hangzhou.

The same day, Southern Brazil's Florianópolis airport (FLN), managed by Floripa Airport, a subsidiary of the Zurich Airport Group, handled a B747-400F for the first time.

The cargo aircraft operated by Terra Avia from Moldova, made a journey from China to the capital of the federal state of Santa Catarina bringing 700 cbm of hospital supplies from a private importer. General director Ricardo Gesse: "In terms of cargo handling, our infrastructure is on the same level as the five major airports in the country." (ah)
