Cargoline reports strong growth in Germany

With 12.48 million outgoing consignments (up 2.3%) and a turnover of EUR 1.42 billion (up 2.9%), the German general cargo network Cargoline completed another successful financial year in 2018.

Domestic traffic (with an increase of 2.5%) was a particularly strong driver of growth. The amount of consignments shipped within Europe rose by 1.7%. Accordingly, the network partners achieved a 2.6% rise in direct transports and increased the number of employees by 4.4%. 12% of all consignments originated from online trade.

Based on volume trends in Q1/2019, Cargoline has forecast a 2-3% growth in consignments, provided the economic climate remains stable. Cargoline has recently added more hubs to its network to optimise and stabilise its delivery processes: Transport and logistics providers Schmelz in Kassel and Rüdinger in Krautheim joined the cooperation in the beginning of 2019.
