CEVA opens new Amazon fulfilment centre
CEVA Logistics has inaugurated a 67,000 sqm Amazon fulfilment centre near Brasilia, Brazil's capital, supporting up to 135,000 packages daily. The facility, located in Santa Maria, strengthens Brazil's central-west logistics hub and is CEVA's second Amazon centre in the federal district. The opening was marked by a ceremony attended by local authorities, Amazon and CEVA leaders, with the centre creating over 1,400 new jobs and boosting the regional economy.
The centre boasts advanced inventory management, automation and sustainability practices, ensuring fast, reliable and environmentally responsible order fulfilment. CEVA completed the rollout in just 11 weeks, boosting supply chain efficiency, safety and productivity, and enhancing Amazon's service across Brazil. CEVA is also rapidly expanding its overall contract logistics footprint in Brazil, adding nearly 300,000 sqm in the past year, with plans to reach 620,000 sqm by 2028, supporting sectors like eCommerce, automotive and health care.
