CLdN adds Zeebrugge–Cork–Dublin container link

On Saturday CLdN launched a new weekly lo-lo container service connecting Zeebrugge with Cork and Dublin.

Since 10 May, the 800 teu ‘JSP Rover’ has operated between CLdN’s Albert II terminal and key Irish ports, complementing existing ro-ro routes and expanding customer choice. The move enables more flexible fleet deployment and adds strategic capacity through the port of Cork.

The new lo-lo link builds on CLdN’s dual-mode service model, already successful in Rotterdam, and is in line with a wider lo-lo strategy that includes newbuilds from 2027. With this addition, CLdN now offers 14 weekly sailings between Ireland and its continental hubs.

The company, active in Ireland since 1999, now ships over 500,000 units annually and is the largest ferry freight operator on Irish trades. The latest expansion reinforces CLdN’s commitment to modal choice and sustainable growth in northwestern European supply chains. (ah)
