Concordia delivers tanker to Gambler

Concordia Damen has successfully delivered the CDS tanker 135, named "Gambler", to Gambler Shipping BV. The vessel, built at Concordia Damen's Werkendam shipyard with extensive input from long-term outfitter CCM3, recently passed its trials. It measures 135 m in length, 11.45 m in width, and offers a cargo capacity of 4,180 cbm for mineral oil transport. Its proven, streamlined design minimises resistance, while two CAT C32 engines (709 kW each) ensure efficient fuel consumption and optimal speed.

Gambler Shipping's captain-owner, Karel Jan van de Pol, expressed satisfaction, highlighting the vessel's technical features, comfortable accommodation and the collaborative process with Concordia Damen, which provided a quick lead time. Nico de Bie of Concordia Damen praised the cooperation, noting that the new tanker enhances the reputation of the CDS 135 series as reliable, efficient and future-ready, now serving on Europe's inland waterways.
