Containers handling made simple
The company Fritsch, Chiari & Partner (FCP) is carrying out an intermodal transport project in Austria that aims to move containerized goods in a swifter and more efficient manner by truck from factory to railway with the need for a special terminal.
The project managers relied on the Rail Cargo Group’s special container shifting system to carry out the first trial run.
With the system containers can be speedily cross-loaded from HGVs to railway wagons almost everywhere – by one single person and without complicated terminal equipment, such as a crane. A railway siding with a suitable loading track and loading lane is sufficient. (ben)
