Crowley names VP for sustainability

Crowley Maritime Corporation has promoted Alisa Praskovich to vice president of sustainability. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, she will report to Ray Fitzgerald, CEO, and will lead Crowley’s environmental, social responsibility and governance (ESG) activities.

By working with the company’s partners and customers, Praskovich’s team has to reach the goal “to develop innovative solutions and actions that reduce emissions and carbon impacts, associated with greenhouse gases”.

This includes also supporting Crowley’s new energy division, which aims to offer maritime and engineering services to the emerging offshore wind energy sector and liquefied natural gas (LNG) solutions.

Praskovich will also be responsible for the company’s new sustainability team: Nico De Golia, corporate sustainability director, and Preethi Poola, senior administrator.

Joining Crowley in 2016 as a manager of operations integrity, Praskovich served for the past year as senior director for safety, quality, and sustainability. She brings a 20-year long US Coast Guard career, predominately in maritime safety. (amh)
