Emirates adds truck service to 30 year old connection

Emirates Skycargo launched its operations to Riyadh in February 1990. The freight division of Emirates currently offers just over 1,000 t of combined export and import cargo capacity through 27 weekly flights. Since 2015, the Dubai-based carrier has helped transport more than 138,000 t of cargo to and from the capital of Saudi Arabia.

In order to respond to customer demands and provide additional capacity options for businesses overseas wanting to send cargo to Riyadh, Emirates Skycargo has also introduced two bonded trucking corridors in Saudi Arabia. The trucking service connecting Dammam and Medina with Riyadh is operated by Eastern Allied Transport, an affiliate of Allied Transport Company, which operates the airline’s fleet of 49 trucks 24*7 between DXB and DWC airports.
