Emirates expands scheduled and charter operations

Last Thursday, 21 May 2020, Emirates resumed scheduled service to nine passenger destinations, offering bellyhold cargo capacity to and from Chicago, Frankfurt, London Heathrow, Madrid, Melbourne, Milan, Paris CDG, Sydney and Toronto.

Simultaneously, Emirates Skycargo expanded its scheduled cargo operations to cover 75 destinations across six continents, including Colombo, Conakry, Dakar, Dhaka, Dublin, Khartoum, Kuala Lumpur, Perth and Quito.

Charter flights also remain on the agenda. Gerton Hulsman, managing director of cargo operations at Düsseldorf airport in Germany, reports that Emirates recently transported 4.7 million FFP2 masks in a B777F, joining the list of airlines that have transformed the major passenger airport serving Germany’s most populated federal state North Rhine-Westphalia into a vital distribution point during the pandemic.
