Europe Airpost developing cargo business
The French airline Europe Airpost generated a turnover of EUR 196 million and a profit of EUR 2.7 million in 2013. The Paris-based carrier transported 53,000 t of cargo in addition to passengers last year and now wants to corner a bigger share of the freight and mail market. Europe Airpost offers the only full freighter connection between its hub and the Tunisian capital Tunis. The service is operated twice per week.
At the beginning of the current year, the airline took delivery of four new aircraft, two of which were B737-400Fs. Its uniform fleet now encompasses 18 B737s, including four B737-400Fs, a B737-300F and eight B737-300QCs (photo).
