Ferrymasters adds LTL railway capacities
Rising demand for freight transport between Poznan (Poland) and Rotterdam, Europe’s busiest port, has led to P&O Ferrymasters adding a sixth weekly service to its train linking the two European industrial centres. The new departure – which will boost capacity by 20% – has been designed to cater to less than truck loads.
The shuttle links Poland's Clip terminal in Swarzędz, just near Poznan, to the Europoort in Rotterdam. The train covers the route in 20 hours and consists of 36 piggyback trailers capable of carrying up to 28 t each. This new sixth weekly service will depart on Mondays. (ben)
