Five new clients in China

A subsidiary of the German Bertelsmann group, Arvato Supply Chain Solutions has taken over logistics and fulfilment services for five new customers at four locations in its Chinese network.

“Online retail is a strong driver of this new business,” says Raoul Kuetemeier, head of Asia at Arvato. “Two new orders are now being handled in the 5,000 sqm distribution centre in Kunshan in eastern China, for an online distributer of Nike sporting goods and for Tony Bianco, an Australian brand for fashion footwear."

From its new location in Guangzhou, the largest city in the Pearl River Delta, Arvato manages the B2B distribution of automotive spare parts to retailers and repair shops across China for the Japanese supplier Aisin.

The two sites in Shanghai, in the Yangshan free trade zone and in the Qingpu district, have also announced the acquisition of new business in the B2C segment. (sh)
