Flexport strengthens management team
Flexport, a provider of a digital platform for managing global logistics processes, has appointed Stefan Böhler as its new general manager in Germany, effective 1 August 2021. This hire is in keeping with the company’s growth strategy in Germany, which has expanded its service portfolio in the DACH region and doubled sales in the current financial year.
Reporting directly to Flexport’s European VP, Jan van Casteren, Böhler will be supported by Janis Bargsten, who has been the first general manager to build up the firm’s German business since 2018, and who will focus on sales and expansion of the customer base in the DACH market in future.
Previously, Böhler was VP operations EMEA at international logistics specialist Cran Worldwide Logistics. He has also held management positions at Ceva Logistics, Kuehne + Nagel and DB Schenker. (amh)
