Frequency of rail link to Metz doubles
One year after the introduction of a rail shuttle service between Antwerp (Belgium) and Metz (France), the intermodal logistics operator Multi-Modal Rail (MMR) doubled the train frequency to two per week in mid January.
The Dutch-French company thus provides shippers in the Alsace-Lorraine region with another link to deepsea services calling the port of Antwerp.
The container shuttle departs Antwerp’s main hub on Mondays and Wednesdays, and arrives at the MMS terminal in Metz the following day. MMR makes use of Logistics Intermodal Services (LIS) to operate the rail service. (ben)
