Geodis marks 500th freighter flight from Asia to Mexico
Paris-headquartered logistics provider Geodis has reached a major milestone in its air freight network, celebrating the 500th dedicated freighter flight connecting Asia and Mexico since the service was launched in 2019. Operated in partnership with Atlas Air, the route offers two weekly flights from Shanghai and Hong Kong to Guadalajara, providing secured capacity and shorter lead times for customers across Latin America.
The service – maintained throughout the pandemic and recent supply chain disruptions – has become a key link in Geodis’ regional strategy. "Reaching 500 flights proves our unwavering commitment to our customers in Mexico and the Latin American region," said Miguel Muñoz (first row, second from left), Managing Director of Geodis Mexico.
Supported by a strong domestic distribution network, the Guadalajara gateway connects to cities such as Mexico City and Monterrey, ensuring seamless end-to-end delivery. Geodis now aims for its next milestone – the 1,000th flight on this growing transpacific route. (ah)
