Giovanni Dattoli appointed Unrae president
Unrae (Unione Nazionale Rappresentanti Autoveicoli Esteri) has announced the unanimous appointment of Giovanni Dattoli, CEO of Volvo Trucks Italia, as president of its industrial vehicles section for the 2025-28 term. Dattoli succeeds Paolo A. Starace and is the eighth president since the section's establishment in 1989.
With over 20 years in the industrial vehicle sector, Dattoli has held various roles within Volvo Group, becoming managing director of Volvo Trucks Italia in 2018. He also served as president of the Unrae board of auditors for over three years.
In his acceptance speech, Dattoli thanked the member companies and expressed his commitment to enhancing the section's role as a key interlocutor with institutions and political sectors. He underscored the importance of constructive dialogue with the government to guide the industry towards a more sustainable future and acknowledged his predecessor for his dedication over the past five years.
