Goodman brings up the bulldozers for BMW
Leipzig is still a magnet for car manufacturers and logistics providers. The property developer Goodman recently started to build an around 50,000 sqm logistics centre for the BMW Group in the German city.
The new complex will be created close to the German carmaker’s Leipzig plant, which is currently being extended. Goodman plans to hand over the new centre in summer 2019.
To maximise supply chain efficiency, the new complex will have an approximately 4,000 sqm loading tunnel, ample storage space for pallets and production items, as well as offices on two storeys.
Goodman has already built a 125,000 sqm logistics platform in Leipzig for DB Schenker, which operates it for BMW. (mw)
