Hactl handling Flexport's new service from LAX
The Florida (USA)-based freighter operator Western Global Airlines has appointed Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals (Hactl) to handle its first scheduled service into Hong Kong.
The new twice-weekly B747-400F service between Hong Kong and Los Angeles CA (USA), is operated in partnership with the US forwarder Flexport.
The airline plans to add another weekly flight from September. Hactl provides ramp and terminal handling, as well as all documentation for the flights.
Announcing the launch of the joint service, Neel Jones Shah, Flexport’s SVP and global head of airfreight, said: "This new partnership allows Flexport to offer a predictable, affordable and customised service with guaranteed capacity in the important Hong Kong and US markets." (ah)
