Hansa Heavy Lift sets new weight record
The German service provider Hansa Heavy Lift set a new record when it shipped to Russia its heaviest ever cargo since the company’s launch in 2011. The P2-Class vessel “HHL Lagos” transported four reactors and two barges for the Achinsk Refinery Plant, and discharged them at the port of Dudinka in north-central Russia, in mid-July.
At the beginning of June, the reactors, one weighing 1,306 t, and three weighing between 364 t and 609 t were loaded onto the “HHL Lagos” at Porto Marghera (Italy), and the barges, each weighing 610 t, joined the vessel at the port of Rotterdam (Netherlands).
