Hellmann crowns restructuring process with new CEO
The German service provider Hellmann has completed its restructuring process under the aegis of Thomas Knecht (CEO and CRO) and Jost Hellmann (CCO), and been refinanced under a multi-year loan contract with a banking syndicate. The group of companies generated total sales of EUR 3.2 billion in 2017, 7% more than in 2016.
As the restructuring phase has ended, Knecht is handing over his role - in agreement with Hellmann’s supervisory board - to Reiner Heiken as of 1 December 2018. Heiken, a qualified navigator, held a range of executive positions at, inter alia, Kuehne + Nagel and most recently at Schenker. He has worked in the industry for over twenty years.
The group recruited Michael Noth as CFO on 1 August 2018. Jost Hellmann will resign as CCO at the end of the year for age reasons. (cd)
