Herwig to Hellmann

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has appointed Jörg Herwig as chief operating officer road and rail (COO), effective 1 March 2021, succeeding Matthias Magnor, who has decided to leave after 18 years at the company. Herwig will also assume the position of managing director of Hellmann East Europe (HEE), which he will lead together with Patrick Nathe.

Bringing more than 30 years of experience in the logistics industry, including assignments at Danzas, Kühne + Nagel and Dachser, Herwig joined Schenker in Vienna (Austria), where he initially served as head of the road and rail division in Southeast Europe and, since March 2019, as a member of Schenker’s management board.

Hellmann is further fortifying its strongest segment, road and rail, with the aim of developing its German and European overland transport network, and is also focusing on expanding markets in Eastern Europe through its HEE subsidiaries. (amh)
