HKIA Consultancy signs Belt and Road deals


Hong Kong International Airport Consultancy Limited (HKIA Consultancy) and Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) have signed cooperation agreements to collaborate on three major airport development projects in Ethiopia, Indonesia and Kenya, during the 28th Beijing-Hong Kong Economic Cooperation Symposium.

 

The partnerships aim to leverage Hong Kong's expertise in airport management and operations to promote the development of key aviation hubs along the Belt and Road region. The agreements, signed by Simon Li, CEO of HKIA Consultancy, and Li Weidong, chairman of BUCG, are seen as a significant step toward strengthening regional connectivity and infrastructure growth. The event was attended by prominent officials, underscoring the importance of these projects in advancing international trade and development under the Belt and Road Initiative.
