HVO trucks for FS
FS Logistix, part of Italy’s FS Group, has expanded its fleet with 12 new 'Iveco S-Way' trucks powered by hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). The vehicles, comprising tractors and trailers, were purchased by Mercitalia Shunting & Terminal to support efficient first- and last-mile intermodal services combining rail and road transport as the company reported. "These additions are part of our 2025–2029 industrial plan, which foresees 42 new trucks by 2029," said CEO Sabrina De Filippis.
Iveco’s general manager for Italy, Massimiliano Perri, said the delivery highlights progress in sustainable transport, noting the trucks’ high performance and low emissions. Supplied by dealer Romana Diesel, the fleet increases FS Logistix’s total to 36 vehicles. (js)
